Premier Jason Kenney Announces Alberta's Recovery Plan

Today, Alberta Premier, Jason Kenney, announced Alberta’s Recovery Plan designed to help the province recover from the “triple-whammy” of the public health crisis, the worst world-wide economic recession since the “dirty thirties” and the collapse of oil prices over the past three months all on top of the previous economic slowdown that Alberta had already been experiencing since 2015. Saskatchewan Finance Minister, Hon. Donna Harpauer Source: The Government of Saskatchewan tabled its 2020/21 budget in the Legislative Assembly today. The budget was originally supposed to be delivered and tabled by Minister of Finance, the Hon. Donna Harpauer, on March 18th. However, because of the Covid-19 pandemic, the Legislature was abruptly adjourned after the Minister released the government’s spending estimates instead of delivering a full budget.
